Option Rawdon
Jacques Beauregard
Candidate to the mayor office
My Vision
Restore a sense of trust in the civic administration.
Give back its civic administration to its people of Rawdon: transparence.
Set-out the core principle of our civic administration: first and foremost a non profit organization set-up to provide proximity services to its residents throughout the Territory.
Institute an interactive, participative democracy, ensuring respect to all, through such tools like the medias, internet, community radio and television, press, through reinstituting, multiplying access to poster boards where our citizens congregate, including civic buildings etc.
Restore order in the use of the Civil Law Courts against its taxpayers and its personnel:
Put an end to the anti-blogger affair: our election on November 1st is a Vox Populi judgment disposing of it;
Have a responsible human resources management, a work climate freed of the rot generated by numerous labour grievances(“griefs”).
A number of Issues now plaguing Rawdon:
Insufficient capacity of fresh water from the wells feeding the Rawdon Water system;
Insufficient capacity of the Sewer Treatment plant;
Roads renovated without any shoulder bounded by deep ditches so that such roads are not accessible to walkers and cyclists;
A road system unkempt throughout the Rawdon vast territory;
A severe shortage in health resources;
An unhealthy democratic process;
Work jointly in a proactive way with the diverse community groups in Rawdon on numerous issues such as this part of the youth left to itself.
Give back to those who work for the Municipality the prospect of having a career plan.
While abiding with provisions of the applicable laws,
Favor the hiring of Rawdon residents by the Municipality;
Provide Rawdon businesses a window of opportunities to do business with the Municipality;
Develop in conjunction with the Rawdon people a development plan of the Territory, compatible with Rawdon’s history and its peoples. What do we want Rawdon to be in 2020?
Institute a responsible, stringent management of Municipal taxes and rates, for the Common Weal implementing democratic decisions.
On November 2nd , with the support of the people, I shall devote myself for Rawdon in Rawdon. While the statutory remuneration for municipalities like Rawdon is for part-time elected officers, I plan to devote my time, without limitations, to the municipal affairs of Rawdon, the whole as expected by Rawdon constituents from its elected Mayor.
